Dr Jisook Lee is an Associate Director in the Oncology Research Unit at Pfizer in San Diego, where she leads strategic external collaborations that drive innovation in oncology research. As a member of the Research Alliances team, she manages partnerships with biotechnology companies, academic institutions, and contract research organizations to integrate emerging technologies into drug discovery and translational research, including artificial intelligence, data science, genomics, spatial biology, and patient-derived platforms.
Prior to joining Pfizer, Jisook spent six years at Halozyme Therapeutics advancing oncology programs and building extensive biotechnology industry experience. She completed her postdoctoral training at the University of California, San Diego, and earned a PhD in Cancer Biology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
Jisook is passionate about connecting external innovation with internal research teams to accelerate the development of new therapies for patients. She is equally committed to mentoring the next generation of scientists and leaders, encouraging them to remain open to diverse career paths and recognize how their skills can translate across a broad range of opportunities in the life sciences.
