2026-27 M-Scholars Scholarship Applications are Being Accepted!
Eligible children/grandkids of employees in the United States & Canada can apply until June 5th 2026!

The M-Scholars Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to the children and grandchildren of our United States and Canada employees who are pursuing higher education in STEM fields. Eligible students must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in an approved STEM discipline at an accredited college or university in the United States or Canada.

We encourage all eligible students to apply! Application Deadline: Friday, June 5th  2026.  Late submissions will not be accepted.

About the M-Scholars Scholarship

  • Six (6) students will be selected to join the 2026–2027 M-Scholars Cohort.

  • Each M-Scholar will receive $4,000 per academic school year for up to four years, contingent upon continued eligibility and academic progress.

  • M-Scholars will be required to maintain a 3.4/4.0 GPA and be enrolled FULL TIME at an accredited institution of higher education in the United States or Canada and pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s or PhD in an approved STEM field to remain eligible

To be eligible for M-Scholars

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must maintain a minimum cumulative Overall GPA of 3.4 on a 4.0 scale, annually. 
  • Must be enrolled full-time in an approved STEM program at an accredited institution in the United States or Canada. 
  • Must be the child or grandchild of a current United States or Canada employee of EMD Serono, MilliporeSigma, or EMD Electronics.
  • Must be pursuing STEM related undergraduate or graduate degree-seeking studies (including basic and biological sciences, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, technology, computer science, engineering and mathematics)
  • Citizen or resident of the United States or Canada

The M-Scholars Program was developed to provide financial support and career guidance to our Canada and United States employees' children (or grandchildren) pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD degree in an approved STEM field at an accredited institution of higher education in the United States or Canada.

Prospective M-Scholars should be pursuing a degree in an approved STEM field, such as biological sciences, medicine, chemistry, pharmacy, technology, computer science, engineering, or mathematics.
