The thief of joy 

If we lived a life where we did not let other people’s success diminish our own life’s achievements and milestones, we would be so much happier. If we just reminded ourselves more often that one has nothing to do with the other, we would not be stealing our own joy. But as much as that would be the ideal, the reality is that comparison has become more difficult to avoid. Now when you open your phone, someone is always getting promoted, launching something, travelling, buying, building, celebrating. It is constant.
