There is nothing wrong about making yourself a priority and learning to love yourself above everyone else. It is, in fact, encouraged. On one hand, this makes perfect sense because you are the only person you have to live with for your entire life. If you do not respect your own boundaries or care for your well-being, it becomes very hard to expect anyone else to do those things for you. The way you treat yourself sets a clear standard for how you allow other people to treat you.
